<collection_method xmlns="http://eprints.org/ep2/data/2.0">Nofence virtual fencing collars were deployed on approximately 100 upland sheep; each collar contains a GPS sensor recording location. Locations were set to record every 15 minutes when the animals were active and the update rate was reduced when the animals were not active e.g., during the night, to save battery. The farmer defined a polygonal boundary, stored as a sequence of GPS locations, that acts as a virtual fence for the animals.</collection_method>
