    <title>Sheep GPS and pasture locations (Nofence)</title>
    <abstract>Nofence virtual fencing collars were deployed on approximately 100 upland sheep on upland commons located at Mynydd Myddfai in the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park between April and November 2024. Each collar contains a GPS sensor that records location.</abstract>

    <collection_method>Nofence virtual fencing collars were deployed on approximately 100 upland sheep; each collar contains a GPS sensor recording location. Locations were set to record every 15 minutes when the animals were active and the update rate was reduced when the animals were not active e.g., during the night, to save battery. The farmer defined a polygonal boundary, stored as a sequence of GPS locations, that acts as a virtual fence for the animals.</collection_method>
