The anatomical and physiological data were collected between 2017 and 2019 at the University of Essex.</abstract>

    <collection_method>Several rounds of growing the eight MAGIC wheat varities applied for collecting this data. All plants grown in same conditions and fully randomised. Experiments were conducted using standard Infra red gas analysers and an in house built specialised &quot;split chamber&quot; as detailed in the paper.</collection_method>
    <provenance>All data supplied with this data set contains raw data and in some cases, recalculated formats (due to adjustments needed from using the specialised splt chamber, all detailed in paper).</provenance>
